"A Story of Mother-Love the News Papers Would Not Print!"
First-time journalist Lucy "Tex" Warren suspects a big story behind the young black woman Flora Jackson. Flora is in a precarious position. She claims to be the mother of a white baby. In the course of her investigation, Lucy discovers that the child actually belongs to Barbara Harrison. Barbara has now remarried to a wealthy young man and has an interest in her past being uncovered. But then a band of blackmailers finds out about this information.
