One Crowded Night plot

The lives of some people take a dramatic turn during an evening in a tourist spot in the Mojave Desert. Former gangster sweetheart Gladys finally hopes to find her happiness with honest truck driver Joe. Her past catches up with her when the escaped convict Jim arrives. The young mother-to-be Ruth is unexpectedly reunited with her husband Matt. Mat is a sailor and is illegally absent from work. Then two criminals arrive who intend to kill Jim.
