Oka! plot
"Listen..."
The Bayaka tribe of pygmies, who live in the forests, are renowned for their keen hearing - "Oka!" means "Listen!" When the chief of the tribe hears a new and menacing sound, he uses his extrasensory power to send a message to "Big Ear," ethnomusicologist Larry Whitman. He rises from his sickbed and, against the doctor's advice, travels from New Jersey to Central Africa to come to the aid of the tribal leader. The danger comes from a local politician who, together with a project developer, wants to use the forests where the Bayaka tribe live for the timber trade.
