O Fim do Mundo plot

Augusto, a poor old farmer in a Portuguese desert village, accidentally killed old Conceição who called him a thief and swindler. Her sister, Violante, is out for revenge. They are the last inhabitants of the village, the others have emigrated to America. Violante reports Augusto to the police and as an illiterate, it is not easy for him. Then a drama unravels that started years before.
