O Estranho plot

Central to "O Estranho" is the international airport Guarulhos near São Paulo. From there, the journey is not so much through the world as through time. The airport was built on indigenous territory and has completely changed the landscape. Some people left, others stayed: they now work in the duty-free shop or baggage handling. The film follows a member of the ground crew as she searches for her roots beneath the runway.
