O Ensaio plot

Isa, a young artist, has been invited for a project related to a stage performance. She is going to stage a dramatic adaptation of 'The Posthumous Memoirs of Cubas', a satirical nineteenth-century novel by Machado de Assis. The rehearsal is marred by difficulties, because Isa is a woman, young and black.
