Murder-suspected prostitute Claudia (Streisand) delivers attorney Aaron Levinsky (Dreyfuss) the toughest trial of his life. She insults him, berates him and scolds him. But slowly he gains the trust of a desperate woman, who is considered insane not only by the State, but also by her own parents.
