A lesser known film. That's fine, because he wasn't great. Certainly not because of the bizarre plot of a wandering depressed (but still energetic) police officer who sees no point in arresting a young man and driving him around. Actually with the idea that he never plans to drive to the police station. Argumentative is actually an even better fit than energetic.

It's not clear to me what exactly the intention of the film was. Even the nighttime atmosphere didn't seem particularly exploitative to me. Lots of quantity, little quality. It could easily be on Netflix. A film that mainly revolves around two characters. Little chemistry between the two. The boy is quite boring and doesn't radiate much. His train of thought over the course of the film is also bizarre. Why care about that police officer. I can still follow that during the car accident, but not when he later had access. I would have been better off choosing a different film, that's clear.
