"Women Called Her Bad, Men Called Her Good"

Selfless Jennie Jones dumps her boyfriend Richard Hamilton so he can obey the wishes of his wealthy benefactor and marry someone more suitable in his eyes. If Richard doesn't marry an approved woman, his wealthy guardian will no longer support him. Meanwhile, Jennie has married sneaky gambler Joe Charney. One day, Joe is shot and Jennie is blamed. Will Jennie's true lover Richard be able to save her from the death penalty?
