Journalist Peyton MacGruder has just written her first book, based on her daily advice and relationship column: 'The Heart Doctor'. On her promotion trip for her book, Peyton ends up in a quaint Washington state village, where her husband surprises her with a weekend in a beautiful country cottage, on the occasion of their first wedding anniversary. But things quickly escalate when Peyton finds an abandoned baby on her doorstep. Also included is an anonymous letter begging to take care of the child. Peyton now embarks on a quest to find the baby's mother...
