Amanda is 33 and lives an orderly, calm life. She tries to keep a grip on her life with the photos from her Polaroid camera. That is thrown into disarray when she is forced to take care of her grandmother Lola. Lola used to be a beautiful, successful actress. Now she spends her days in a dirty house, surrounded by bottles of liquor and trinkets from the past.
