Night Ride Home plot

"Tragedy threatened to tear them apart. Only hope could keep them together."

Neal and Nora are still together despite their differences, which is in large part due to their 17-year-old son Simon. Nora has a close relationship with Simon and together with daughter Clea they are avid horse lovers. When Neal forbids his son to ride a horse, Clea persuades her mother to take Simon for a ride. Fate strikes and Simon is thrown from his horse. Unable to cope with her son's death, Nora wants to sell their farm.
