Nicholas of Myra plot

New York, Dec 1822. DR. Clement Moore is writing a poem for his young children. Influenced by old world culture, Moore's poem tells a magical story about a kind and magnanimous parcel bearer who secretly visits homes on Christmas Eve. While further thinking about this mythical figure, he comes to the conclusion that this parcel carrier also occurs in the Greco-Roman era. This ancient figure may well be the origin of all similar stories scattered around the world.
