Neues Land plot

After many years, geologist Ina Sedlitz returns to her native village of Neukirch, which has transformed from a lignite mining area into a tourist destination. She wants to hand over her family hotel to her niece Mara and leave the past behind. While compiling a geological report on an artificial lake, she stumbles upon dangerous instability as well as the hidden traces of a long-kept family secret.
