Né de Père Inconnu plot
Raymond Denis, a humble worker, has refused to acknowledge the child his girlfriend Rose gave birth to. Due to his weak attitude, the mother left the care of the child to someone else and she drowned in the canal. Raymond is now charged with murder and appears in court. He is defended by a successful attorney, Maître Claude Nogent. When the latter in his speech denounces the unfairness of society, the court says that Nogent's line of defense has been influenced by the fact that his own father is unknown. The prosecutor is shocked, because his own mother has never told him this before.
