Natural Causes plot

When Jessica McCarthy goes to visit her mother Rachel in Bangkok after twenty years, she turns out to have been murdered by a man called The Westerner. Fran Jakes, a government employee, takes her to the morgue, where her mother has already been cremated, according to Thai custom. When Jessica searches her parents' house, she finds fake passports that her mother used to smuggle Vietnamese to America. With the help of Detective Somchai, she also discovers that her mother was involved in a plan to murder Henry Kissinger. When Fran and Westerner find out, they decide to clean up Jessica. However, she manages to escape, until she shoots the Westerner aboard Kissinger's yacht in revenge. Then she is arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of Henry Kissinger.
