Nata Pa Hënë plot
In The Moonless Night, all of Albania seems to be traveling by train to the coast to emigrate to the West. Sixteen-year-old Rudina and her strict and secretive grandfather have also left their village for that purpose. On the train, Rudina meets Gjergj, who is on his way with his friend Millo. The grandfather tries at all costs to keep the two away from each other, but is left helpless in the train when Rudina and Gjergj miss the train during a stopover. As they continue their journey on foot, they get to know each other better. Arriving on the beach, the local mafia is busy organizing people and goods smuggling. When the train passengers also arrive there, it slowly becomes clear how much Rudina's grandfather is trying to hide his past, and why he does not want the two young people to associate with each other.
