Når Nettene Blir Lange plot
A Norwegian family is on their way to a remote mountain hut to spend the Christmas season idyllically. Father and mother arrive with their four grown children, their grandchildren and Polish in-laws in the cramped and cold mountain hut. While it is minus 30 degrees outside, the temperature in the hut rises to unprecedented heights. The relations within the family appear to be quite skewed and in the remote hut old pains and hidden frustrations slowly bubble to a boiling point. The kerosene stove also starts to leak, the grandchild has asthma attacks and one of the daughters suffers from heartbreak. Mother tries to keep the mood as good as possible. She cooks large meals and calls out "We are having so much fun". To make matters worse, father takes a drink and then things really go wrong....
