Nagaya Shinshiroku plot
In post-war Japan, a man takes a lost boy to his housing complex. At first no one wants to take care of the boy, but eventually Tané, a widow, takes him to her home. The next day she and the little boy go looking for his father. They find out that his father has left for Tokyo and has therefore abandoned him. Tané actually wants to leave him in his old neighborhood, but the boy follows her. The next day the boy runs away because he has wet his bed. Tané then searches diligently for him because she has become very attached to him.
