Nachalo Nevedomogo Veka plot
Diptych consisting of 'Angel' and 'Rodina Elektrichevstva'. In 'Angel' in 1920 a group of refugees tries to escape the fighting between the Reds and the Whites. When their train goes off the rails, they manage to get it back on the track with all their might. Then they fall into the hands of a group of Whites called "Angel of God". In 'Rodina Elektrichevstva', a Turkmen village suffers greatly from the drought. A mechanically inclined boy devises a plan to convert an old motorcycle into a water pump.
