"The truth will set you free"
Nineteen-year-old Dap has an anything but good relationship with his father, who is a war veteran and fought in the South African Border War. His mother does everything she can to bring them closer together, but it seems an impossible task. Then Dap gets a series of dreams out of nowhere in which he fights as a soldier on the front where his father also fights. Dap discovers how hard a soldier's life is and experiences firsthand what his father was exposed to.
