Sara, a writer, has retired to a cool, modern seaside villa designed by her ex Peter after a divorce and the death of her only son. She is apparently over the worst of grief, her last published novel is a success and she feels a new life energy and a need to meet new people. She has rented out her basement floor to Bogdan, a Serbian musician who sometimes rehearses with a complete gypsy orchestra. Then suddenly Peter appears, who has bad news...
