Musica Proibita plot

Paolo Marini is a man gifted with a beautiful voice. He is of humble origin and he is in love with Claretta Melzi, a young woman from an arrogant bourgeois family. Her parents and two brothers break off their relationship, believing that a poor young man who sings in variety theaters cannot be a suitable suitor. Claretta is more or less imprisoned on her family's estate. After the death of one of the brothers, the romance comes to an end.
