Murder without Motive: The Edmund Perry Story plot
"He climbed from New York's worst ghetto to the nation's top schools. He was living the American dream. So what went wrong?"
Edmund Perry is a dark-skinned boy from the slums of Harlem, a not-so-wealthy neighborhood of New York. He is a good student and, with outside help, he can go to a good school, the Phillips Exeter Academy, which is mainly attended by whites from the better circles. Things seem to be going well for him when he graduates and receives a scholarship to Stanford University. However, an unfortunate encounter with a police officer throws a spanner in the works.
