Mooier in het Donker plot

Daya is on her way to her brother Ruben's party. Daya is small among the high houses in Amsterdam. At the party, Daya can't connect, and no one seems to notice. She would rather disappear completely. Then her gaze falls on Yara. She sees how Yara is the center of attention. When Daya secludes herself, Yara follows her. Physically, the two have a lot in common. The difference is the look in their eyes: scared versus confident. Yara shows Daya how colorful life can be when you let go of what others think of you. They get closer and closer, as if they've known each other for years.
