Mondscheinkinder plot

Six-year-old Paul (Lucas Calmus) suffers from a rare genetic disease that prevents him from being able to tolerate sunlight. Not allowed to go outside, he waits impatiently every day for his sister Lisa (Leonie Krahl) to come home from school. She has created an ideal fantasy world for both of them, in which Paul is an astronaut from space who therefore cannot tolerate daylight. However, when Lisa falls in love for the first time, she no longer has time for Paul.
