Mon Amie Victoria plot

Victoria is a young black woman with no remarkable talent or ambition. The story is told by Fanny, Victoria's literature-devouring adopted sister and girlfriend. It starts when Victoria is 8 years old. She then spends a night in the house of a white, liberal, middle-class family. That one night turns out to have a profound effect on her, bordering on an obsession.
