Modris plot

Modris, seventeen years old, is no better or worse than his peers. He goes to school, has a girlfriend and some good friends. His gambling addiction makes his relationship with his mother difficult. They live lonely and alone. His mother continues to insist that his father is in prison and that Modris has his bad genes. Things get out of hand when Modris tries to sell his mother's electric heater in order to gamble again. His mother makes a report and Modris is convicted. From that moment on, the battle with the Latvian legal system begins, his relationship with the outside world changes and he sets out to find the father he never met .
