Mizu no Koe wo Kiku plot
Minjung, of Korean descent, is persuaded by her friend Mina to act like a fortune teller to advise outcasts in Ōkubo, the Korean part of Shinjuku, Tokyo. Aiming to earn some money lightly and simply and with the idea of quitting after a short while, Minjung accepts. However, their following continues to grow and when the businessman Akao gets involved, a religious sect called 'God's Water' is founded, of which Minjung becomes the spiritual leader. This makes it impossible for the two friends to stop what they started.
