Mission over Korea plot
"NO GUNS...JUST GUTS!"
During the Korean War, pilots Captain George P. Slocum and Lieutenant Pete Barker plan to return to base with their L5 aircraft after a reconnaissance flight. Shortly before landing, they receive a radio broadcast to fly to another airport, because their home base is under attack from North Koreans. When they want to land at the other airport, it turns out that it has also been bombed, but due to fuel problems they have to land anyway. While landing, they are fired upon by a sniper. With the help of young South Korean William Chun, Slocum and Pete manage to kill the sniper after he kills Pete's brother first. Back at home, Pete can't let go of the loss of his brother and he leaves unsolicited with an L5 device to be alone. During his flight, the unwary Pete is attacked by North Korean Yak-9s, from which he barely manages to escape. After admonishing Pete from his superiors, he and Slocom are sent on a new and dangerous exploration.
