Mino plot

The story is set in the summer of 1914 in Austria where Professor Rasi and his family spend their vacation. However, there is an uncertain mood because of the coming war. In winter, the Rasi family is attacked by an avalanche and only Mino can be saved by the young smuggler Rico. Mino, thinking his parents are dead, accompanies Rico when he joins an alpine brigade. During the journey he meets Nena and together they end up in a terrible adventure. He later finds his father alive and well: he is a captain, but dies in battle shortly afterwards. Mino goes into shock and recovers in a hospital where he meets Major Lupo, a seriously wounded officer whom Mino gradually befriends.
