Minna Waga Ko plot

In the summer of 1945, in an area where children from Tokyo have been evacuated, the air defense sirens suddenly sound. However, the B-29s only scatter notes with information that Okinawa is occupied by American troops. This news undermines the already starving and deprived morale of the children and their caregivers. But because the Japanese government refuses to surrender, a lot of trouble awaits them.
