Middonaito Basu plot
Riichi Takamiya moves back from Tokyo to Niigata, his hometown. He works there as a driver for a long-distance bus. One day, while he is driving the bus from Tokyo to Niigata, his ex-wife Miyuki gets on the bus. They divorced sixteen years ago. Miyuki is married again and lives in Tokyo. Meanwhile, Riichi is in a relationship with Shiho. She runs a restaurant in Tokyo. He has considered marrying her. Riichi's first son Reiji quits his job in Tokyo and moves back to Niigata. His daughter Ayana works at a webshop and shares her house with her boyfriend. She is not satisfied with her job and relationship. Riichi finds out that Miyuki is unhappy in her marriage.
