Michael Kohlhaas - Der Rebell plot
Middle Ages. Michael Kohlhaas is a horse trader. When he goes to the local market to trade his horses, he is forced by a nobleman to leave some of his horses behind as entrance fees, and the promise that he can take them back after he leaves. When he goes back, the horses are almost dead, and the nobleman doesn't give home. Michael springs into action and vows revenge.
