Mi Vida Loca plot

"Mothers. Warriors. Sisters. Survivors."

Mousie and Sad Girl are two good friends who join one of the female street gangs in the area. They immediately earn their street name, but Mousie backs off after becoming pregnant by the hustler Ernesto. Sad Girl and Ernesto also have a short-lived romance and Sad Girl also becomes pregnant. The result is that all friends start to think more seriously about their and each other's lives. Ernesto struggles to support two families.
