A nasty, uncomfortable fact masterfully worked out in a film that will definitely reverberate for a while.
It is rather flat at first, but gradually the feeling of an impending drama dominates and the film takes on a deeply human and thriller-like course.
Excellent, reflective closing sequence and admirable acts by the 5 main characters.

With this film I finally had the idea that I had watched a classic Dutch film again. A film from the time when art was even more important than good sales / viewing figures. Something like the movie De Smaak van Water (1982). In that respect, I was actually surprised that this film came out in 2001. He seemed older. But the atmosphere of the movie was mysterious and captivating from the start. The story built up nicely and there was excellent acting by classic Dutch actors.
