Mérette plot

Mérette de Pontins, a young girl growing up in a strict religious environment, finds herself in spiritual isolation after the death of her mother. When she rebels against the faith, she only encounters rejection and punishment instead of love and understanding. She must desperately experience how religious fanaticism can degenerate into lovelessness and cruelty.
