"TORN OUT OF A TORTURED SKY!"
During the Korean War, the American aircraft carrier 'Fighting Lady' sails off the coast of Korea. The F9F Panther jets, led by commander Kent Dowling, regularly perform dangerous missions over North Korea from this aircraft carrier. One day, during a dogfight, the pilot Kenneth Schechter is wounded and can no longer even see. Aboard the 'Fighting Lady', the arduous task rests on the pilot Lieutenant Howard Thayer to land the blind Schechter safely on the flight deck with his F9F jet.
