Men plot

Laura Burton refuses the love of an honest artist to accept the flattering attentions of Roger Hamilton. In time, however, she discovers that she has been betrayed and returns to her mother. She reads of Hamilton's engagement to Alice Fairbanks, who is in reality her sister, adopted by the Fairbanks in her youth. Laura and her mother try to prevent the ceremony from being completed. Meanwhile, the young artist also returns to claim Laura.
