Meine Heimat Afrika plot

"He is not yet 15 years old and is already thinking about his retirement. Were we also devoid of all curiosity?" Bavarian teacher Hanna Edlinger thinks deeply about German youth, as fate holds a challenge in store for her that can only be met in adulthood: her long-thought-dead father reappeared for the first time two weeks ago. The man is in Namibia, Hanna feels she has to go there to find out more. She and her husband, Andreas, experience the following surprise under the Southwest African sun: she turns out to have a black half-sister named Sumah.
