Mein Bester Feind plot
1938, Vienna. Victor Kaufmann is the son of two Jewish art dealers and has been good friends with Rudi Smekal since childhood. Rudi, who comes from a humble background, owes a lot to Victor's parents and visits them like a family member. The two friends become rivals when they both take an interest in the beautiful Lena. But then Victor and his family are arrested and sent to a concentration camp, where they learn that Rudi has been a Nazi for a long time. The war continues and Rudi is now an SS officer. He takes his old friend Victor out of the concentration camp for a special mission.
