Matomena Hristougenna plot

Nikolas returns to his family in Athens after the war. Instead of his wife and children, he finds another family in his house. The neighbor tells him what happened to his family in the meantime. His wife has fallen ill and his children struggle to care for her. His daughter waits in vain for her betrothed and his son ends up in the resistance.
