Mashaal plot

After being fired as a newspaper editor, Vinod Kumar retreats to the slums of Bombay and starts his own daily newspaper. However, he soon gets into trouble with the local street gangs. One of the gangs is led by Raja, who at the hands of Vinod straightens out and returns to college. Raja leaves the slum but returns a few months later with the intention of helping Vinod with his daily newspaper.
