Marchandes d'Illusions plot

Parisian prostitutes have met two young men who know nothing about their profession. An old woman is killed by an environmental man who fears the girls will tell him. He makes sure that the girls themselves become suspicious. They could easily prove their innocence by showing where they were at the time of the crime, but they don't want to for fear that people would know that they are prostitutes.
