Mandy Will ans Meer plot

Ida Schmidt is a very successful single cook. Through her work she hears about the youth work 'Die Barke', where children from socially disadvantaged families are helped. Ida organizes a cooking course to show that you can also cook healthy and cheaply. Eleven-year-old Mandy, whose character impresses Ida, gives a distorted view of her family. Ida knows the image is wrong, but the truth is Mandy's secret. However, she is soon confronted with the cruel reality of Mandy's life and decides to help the girl.
