Madame X plot
Jacqueline Floriot is forced into a vagabond life when her husband Louis throws her out on the street out of envy. Twenty years later, she returns to France from Buenos Aires because she believes her son Raymond has died. She is helped on her return by the criminal Laroque. When he finds out that Jacqueline's husband is a wealthy man, he devises a plan to rob him. To save Louis from violence, she kills Laroque and his cronies. Jacqueline is arrested on suspicion of murder. During the trial, she finds out that Raymond is alive and that he is the defense attorney.
