Ma Non per Sempre plot

Late nineteenth century. In a town in the northern Italian countryside, people believe in magical powers and rituals. People think Maria is just a blackjack, even a witch, because of her friendship with a very independent woman and her boyfriend. Despite this fact and also conditioned by magical rituals, Maria succeeds in making her dream come true: she is going to have a child.
