Luchtkastelen plot

Alice Stanton is saved from drowning by fisherman Jack. A strong friendship blossoms between them. The castles in the air that the honest fisherman builds are shattered when he realizes how impossible it is for him to marry the charming girl who is better off than himself. Although he was instrumental in saving her life, he fails to win her love. Six months later, through the church door, he sees Alice marrying someone else.
