A British nobleman is indebted to a moneylender. He then agrees to marry the man's daughter. This in exchange for forgiveness of his debt. Since the girl is Jewish, her new husband informs her that the marriage is strictly a business matter and that he could never have romantic feelings for someone of her descent.
