Longitude (2000)

Longitude plot

Parallel story in which one part deals with John Harrison, the inventor of the chronometer in the 18th century that finally allowed accurate navigation at sea. The other part of the film is set in the 20th century and revolves around Rupert Gould who is obsessed with restoring Harrison's inventions.
